The Nott.ordinaryJewelz brand was created five years ago when Silvija Talan, a history teacher started studying different YouTube tutorials for rope knitting and embroidering in her free time. “I liked jewellery made of ropes, and for hobby I started knitting some knots of mine own. It’s fascinating how many different perfect forms you can obtain using knots,” creator Silvija Talan says.

The sweet factory Fantasia has been around since 1962, while Štefica Blaženić and her husband Željko took over the business in 2007. With the aim of enhancing their craft, they continued making only a few types of lollipops, jelly beans and candied apples. In addition to old traditional kinds, they’ve introduced new, modern products.

Pedicure salon Fajfer was established in 1938 by Bojka Fajfer, who’s the grandmother of Ivana Buterin, the salon’s current manager.

The Filipec family is one of the oldest families in Samobor with their winery situated in the very heart of downtown Samobor at Stražnička 1a. Bermet and Muštrda, which have been produced by the family since the 19th century, are definitely what makes them recognisable. At first they were renowned for skin-dressing and other economic activities, while they simultaneously made Bermet and Muštarda.

The Oslaković family from Samobor has been preserving their family tradition for three generations. In 1937, grandfather Franjo opened the first Licitar-making workshop in Samobor at Perkovčeva 17 where it is still located today. His son Franjo took over the craft embarking upon a candle production modernisation programme.

Family craft Mikuš is involved in making wooden children’s toys and souvenirs. Moreover, it can boast a hundred-year-long tradition in making children’s toys spanning several generations. Their handicraft have become a traditional Croatian cultural product which have even been protected by UNESCO as non-tangible heritage.

The production and trade craft “Galanterist” was founded in 1997 at Ilica 12 when Petar Jagušt started his independent craft business after having gained considerable experience in Zagreb’s craft scene for a number of years. Having worked in craftsmanship for over 40 years, he took the plunge and started his very own craft in the late 1990s when good were imported from eastern countries in huge quantities.

Confectionery shop M&M was founded in 1992 when Iva and Željko, who had been in the hospitality business for a number of years, decided to start their own business. Their children Martina and Marin had always been with them and they took over the tradition. The craft M&M was named precisely after the children’s names. Since the beginning the confectionery shop has been situated in 13 Ratarska Street. In time the business grew so they expanded their business activities.
