Support local crafts and craftsmen!

Due to the coronavirus lockdown, we have decided to explore our craftsmen’s work online. Here’s where you can buy a unique jewelry piece and where you can repair your shoes while in Zagreb.

During the coronavirus lockdown, we rediscovered online shopping, explored local brands on social networks and met creatives whose products were at our fingertips all along. In the light of that, we would like to present our local craftsmen’s work and encourage you to buy it.

For instance, Vlasta Keranović, the owner of Peroklinika, one of the last fountain pen workshops in Croatia represents a dying craft. So, if you have a dry fountain pen lying somewhere in your house, visit Peroklinika on Jelačić Square. Certainly, there are plenty creatives on Zagreb’s crafts scene – feel free to check them out in our catalogue.

Leather artisans

Tanja Pokupec Hubak, Stjepan Nemčić, Miljenko Vuk, Silvio Lončarić, Vjekoslav Završki and Tomislav Petković are leather artisans who value quality over anything else. They are proud of their mostly family-owned businesses they have been running for decades. Whether you are looking for a unique backpack or a custom textile bag, you can always contact them with your ideas.

Breathtaking jewelry

There are real treasures hidden in numerous Zagreb jewelry stores we would like to present to you. In the gold jewelry store Bijou run by Tea Jagarinec you will find handcrafted geometric jewelry inspired by math. Further north in Frankopanska street in the gold jewelry store Koci you can buy the most beautiful wedding rings and at the goldsmith Stjepan Krznarić in Sisters Baković Passage there is some unique gold and silver jewelry. Lapidarium goldsmith workshop in Radićeva street gathers numerous Croatian artists and collections familiar to all admirers of unique jewelry.

Wedding preparation. Beautiful, happy bride dresses earrings before wedding. Wedding accessories, jewelry. Closeup portrait of bride. Selective focus.

Shoemakers that combine traditional and modern approach

Zagreb shoemakers are special kind of craftsmen – they make city centre unique with their store windows displaying high quality leather footwear for men and women. A little further from the centre, in a Trešnjevka neighborhood, shoemaker Darijo Semenčić mostly does repairs but also makes unique women’s shoes whereas in Dalmatinska street there is a shoemaker’s workshop Zvonimir run by Nataša Trinajstić – a favourite adress to many women in search of great shoes. You can check out Zvonimir shoes as well as other shoemakers’ products here.
