The stunning Bundek Lake will host the 52nd edition of Floraart which will take place 8 – 14 May. Year after year the renowned floral event attracts crowds of visitors and exhibitors alike.
“The entire event is magnificent, the location is nice and attendance is large. Every day is quite hectic and the intensity takes its toll, but we’re still pleased”, husband and wife Romano and Spomenka Ožura from the Association for Flower and Floral Design Promotion 3/5/8 say.
Floraart is organised by Zagrebački holding – Zrinjevac subsidiary with the City of Zagreb being the coorganiser. In addition to Bundek, visitors can take a unique stroll through Grič Tunnel and enjoy the floral decor and the exposition pavilion at the Botanical Garden is the place where you can take part in promotions and lectures given by experts.
”This is an opportunity for people to catch a glimpse of special types of flower decorations alongside the classic ones. The installation named “Hurricane” gained tremendous admiration and it took ten florists to complete it. Floraart promotes pursuing a professional path as florist and we also get a chance to socialise and exchange experiences”, Rafaela Petrinić, owner of the company Poppy and overall fourth-placed at the florist competition held as part of Floraart, explains.
According to Grozdana Miković from the Miković Grozdana family farm, the positive reaction given by the visitors is what particularly causes the exhibitors to be pleased and motivated. Due to its content Floraart is equally appealing to all age groups. While grown-ups do some shopping and familiarise themselves with the wide array of exhibits, the kids can go about and enjoy theatre performances and face painting at FLORAGRAD. Interesting exhibitors, great music and food and drinks aplenty make pretty good reasons to come and enjoy the floral extravaganza on Bundek.
