His long-standing cooperation with the Croatian Conservation Institute is just one example of his successful cooperations. He’s been making rings awarded to the winner of Sinska alka and alka lad for the past 25 years. He proudly points out that he has trained five students to this day, and his son Kristijan Pavlović, who’s a goldsmith master, will take over the shop when the time is right. Stjepan Pavlović was the only one in Croatia who made the golden crown of Our Lady of Sinj, which is located in front of the Sinj monastery even today. This is bronze cast statue of Our Lady of Sinj adorned with 12 unique stars made by Stjepan Pavlović.
Sketching is pretty time-consuming in his line of work, but today he designs his jewellery exclusively using material brought to him. Customers can also bring in precious gemstones upon a prior arrangement. He’s quite busy making custom-made engagement and men’s rings. Privately he’s interested in antique jewellery which successfully replicates much to the satisfaction of his customers. The Archdiocese of Zagreb hired him to decorate the mitre with pearls, restore the crosier and perform numerous other tasks. Zagreb’s Ilica Street wouldn’t be the same without jewellery shop Štef so be sure to pay a visit if you’re looking for a unique piece of jewellery.
