Antun is a dentist by profession, but he decided to keep the family tradition alive and to follow in his father’s footsteps. He’s exceptionally creative so he also draws comic portraits among other things. Aside from developing all kinds of photos, photo studio Topić also offers T-shirt, jersey, pillowcase, Christmas tree decoration and mug printing. In addition to that, they make personalised jigsaw puzzles, mouse pads and poker cards. Depending on what the client wants, only the sky is the limit.
“I’m in a line of business where everybody wants to look good. Photography is an exceptionally aesthetic business. A deep-rooted family tradition is what keeps me tied to my craft. With each new photo I invest a little piece of me. My son is an IT specialist and my daughter is a construction engineer. They are focused on their professions for the time being, but photography is in their blood so we’ll see what the future holds when it comes to the craft’s future”, Antun says.
Studio Topić is in tune with the changing world so taking photos for social media and job applications makes up the bulk of their work. Antun says that people recognise the importance of professional photography and realise that a photo sometimes hold the key to getting the first immediate impression about a person. The studio is focused on tourists as well and they plan to invest in 3D printing technology in order to offer their clients something new and interesting.
