In her flower shop Spomenka Fabijančić makes bouquets and flower arrangements for occasions such as weddings, baptisms, birthdays, graduation ceremonies, holidays, and funerals. In contrast to former times, today she makes flower installations at wedding reception venues and decorations for office premises. Flowers used to be hard to come by, and creations used to be a lot different. Today everything that can be found in nature is used, dried flowers ever increasingly so, and decorative materials that heighten the overall impression are proving indispensable.

Spomenka Fabijančić is a true lover of the florist’s trade, which she enjoys through the daily play and creation of ideas, having turned her focus a long time ago to innovations in floristry.She has taken part in the Innovations Fair several times, winning a bronze plaque two years ago and a silver one last year. For the bronze plaque she had made Flos Fabula, a flower fairytale in a stump, using natural materials, recycled plastic and fresh flowers. She is currently developing the Heart of Zagreb innovation, for which she received the silver plaque. It’s a Licitar hearts collection based on exclusively natural and recycled materials, the purpose of which is to preserve the old Zagreb tradition. She wishes to develop further the Licitar heart in order for it to be included in the souvenir portfolio of the City of Zagreb.

As an active member of the florist section she tries to convey to other people the art of flower making, demonstrating it by means of diversified projects such as the dress with orchids that she made in collaboration with designers and the florist section for last year’s Golden Needle.
